New Features
This update brings exciting new features to the game, including new blocks and proximity voice chat. The new blocks will serve as the foundation for future worlds, biomes, and dungeons, while the voice chat feature enhances social interactions.
- New Blocks
- Over 500 new blocks have been added, including complete Limestone, Slate, Chalk, and Cooled Magma block sets
- Stair and half slabs for Rock, Cloth, Smooth Clay, and Dirt block sets
- Gravel and Gravel half slabs for existing rock types
- Bronze, Copper, Zinc, and Iron block sets available in Creative Mode
- Proximity Voice Chat
- Voice Chat is disabled by default and can be enabled from the Audio Settings menu
- New console commands for client and server can be found for Proximity Voice Chat
- Audio preferences, including input device, input level, noise suppression, and input mode, can be modified
- Players can be muted via the server player list, and talking will animate the player's Avatar
Game Improvements
The update also includes various game improvements, such as social enhancements and modding contest updates. The Hytale New Worlds Modding Contest is still ongoing, with a $100,000 USD prize pool and 65 total winners.
